Johannes Klaebo is the most popular cross-country skier at the moment. 25-year-old Norwegian holds seven Olympic medals [5 golds, 1 silver, 1 bronze], seven World Championship medals [6 golds, 1 bronze], three overall World Cup wins, and 48 World Cup stage victories.
You can hardly find anyone more successful in one of the most demanding sports. All his success is strongly connected with Fischer skis. He signed his first equipment contract with Fischer at the of 18. Now, he signed a new contract for the next four seasons.
Four years till the next Olympics
The part of the Fischer press release cites Klaebo’s words: “I tested intensively in the spring, including other brands, and learned a lot in the process. I now know that I was well advised in the past and together with Fischer I also want to tackle my further sporting goals.”
That clearly shows Klaebo’s former intention to switch the gear if he finds something better, or financially more attractive. Signing with Fischer confirms that the technical superiority of Fischer skis persists.
Fischer dominates our list of the most successful brands in the FIS World Cup in past seasons. The new contract, which should end after the 2026 Olympics season, proves Fischer’s wish to continue their common success.
Johannes Klaebo will use the Fischer Speedmax equipment package – skis, boots, bindings, and poles.
