Falcon E-QuickHue Smart Photochromic Ski Goggles Review
Falcon Smart Photochromic Ski Goggles
What do Photochromic Lenses do?
Photochromic Lenses adjust to the light and provide excellent views in all light conditions. It means they darken when there is a bright sun and lighten up in shadow places.
They are ideal if your eyes are sensitive to sunlight and you do not want to bring various lenses with you for skiing. You will not need to change lenses anymore as the Falcon E-Quick Hue Smart Photochromic Goggles do the job instead of you.
Perfect VLT Transition in 0.1 seconds
VLT means Visible Light Transmission and says how much light will pass through your goggle lens. VLT is the percentage between zero (0%) and hundred (100%) and states how much amounts of light is allowed to go through the lens.
Depending on the weather (sunny, cloudy, foggy, or snowy), you will prefer lenses with different VLTs ( Find out all about VLT here).
The Falcon E-Quick Hue Smart Photochromic Ski Goggles offer a quick transition from 5.2% to 54.3% in 0.1 seconds.
If you look at the picture above you find out, they will cover all kinds of light during the day on the slope. Instead of bringing three different lenses in your bag, you need just one photochromic for all-day skiing no matter what the weather and sun are.
Other features
Of course, these goggles have everything you are used to from previous OutdoorMaster models. The dual-layer lenses for better distortion-free view, the anti-fog feature, the over-the-glass function, and MagKlick for one-second lens swap (not that you will need it).
My Opinion on Falcon Photochromic Ski Goggles
For me, Photochromic ski goggles are a step in the right direction. It minimizes the risk that you will have a bad view when entering the shadow zone on the slope on a sunny day. The transition of the goggles lenses is really quick and you have a good and safe view all the time. In fact, you do not notice the change in VLT, you have just great non-obstructed view all time.
